THE SHI is a trustee company for shipping, trade and industry, with its head office in Hamburg, Germany's premier port city. Since its foundation in 1981, the company has specialised in closed funds. Along with its core sector of shipping, SHI is also engaged in container funds and private placements.

For three decades now the company has been successfully making a name for itself; its managing partner is graduate economist Christian Bahr. We currently have some 9,000 investors on our books, and the trustee capital under our management stands at around EUR 340 million, plus around USD 10 million.

Working for our beneficiaries

With us, the focus is firmly on the beneficiary. If you are investing in closed funds, you can be represented by us as a limited partner. We coordinate the handling of transactions between investment companies and investors, acting at all times on the instructions, and in the interests of, our beneficiaries.

SHI – interface for all shareholders

One of our further tasks is to support and liaise with companies from their start-up stage, through their ongoing business operations, to the conclusion of their liquidation stage. Beginning with the raising of the shareholders' equity, SHI assumes all liaison and support for its investors. In this process we are the interface between the initiators, the management board or contractual ship owner, the issuing house, and the beneficiaries. We have contact with the fund managers, the Advisory Board and the auditors.
